The Intersection of Folk Magic & Folk Herbalism

The bioregion of the culture is also important- cultures will only engage with their local flora and fauna and this in and of itself changes the way a culture’s magico-medicinal paths unfold.

As people seek alternatives to conventional medicine and reconnect with their cultural heritage, these traditions are experiencing a resurgence. Instinctively, I think we’re remembering that all of this happens at the same time, in the same places within us- the false walls that have been erected by the industrial medical complex to separate the folkloric and ancestral traditions from the contemporary seem as though they become more brittle day by day!
